Roch makes horizontal cylindrical autoclaves in different sizes to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We make double-door autoclave machines throughout India in various organizations and each client appreciates our technology and performance.

A double-door autoclave is basically a pass-through type in which material is placed from one side and taken out from the other side. These units are made completely with stainless steel 304 or 316 as required. A high-pressure sterilization tank is built and doors or lids are fitted at both ends. The lid is closed by a radial locking system which is also protected with a pressure safety device so that the lid cannot be opened if there is little pressure inside the chamber. The sterilization chamber and boiler are mounted on a sturdy stand which is also made of stainless steel.

It is equipped with a digital temperature controller cum timer controller. Users can set temperature range and sterilization time with the help of this controller. All piping and connections are made of stainless steel. Welding joints are done with argon gas welding with good finishing.

CONSTRUCTION

  1. Our horizontal autoclave units are made of stainless steel to ensure a corrosion-resistant surface. Tipple-walled construction ensures an excellent level of safety.
  2. A boiler is fitted separately and connected to the chamber. The water level indicator is also attached to the boiler.
  3. Automatic low water cut-off is optional and fitted on-demand only. Each unit is fitted with an automatic pressure control switch; it is capable of managing pressure between 5 psi to 20 psi with an accuracy of ±1 psi.
  4. Users can easily set the desired temperature with the help of a digital controller fitted on the front side of the unit.

In order to achieve trustable tight sealing of the door, we always use a neoprene rubber gasket. In order to make our horizontal autoclave well-suited to your application and to make your work easier, we offer a range of optional accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

A horizontal cylindrical autoclave is a sterilization device used in various industries, including healthcare, research, and laboratories. It is designed with a horizontally oriented cylindrical chamber for the sterilization of instruments, equipment, and materials.

Horizontal cylindrical autoclaves operate by using high-pressure steam to sterilize items placed inside the chamber. Steam is introduced, and the chamber’s temperature and pressure are carefully controlled to ensure effective sterilization.

These autoclaves are versatile and can be used to sterilize a wide range of items, including laboratory glassware, surgical instruments, textiles, growth media, and waste materials.

Yes, horizontal cylindrical autoclaves come in various sizes and capacities to accommodate different loads and applications. They can range from compact benchtop units to larger floor-standing models.

Horizontal cylindrical autoclaves are highly effective at sterilizing most microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. However, certain bacterial spores may require longer exposure to high heat or pressure for complete sterilization.

Sterilization conditions, such as temperature, pressure, and duration, vary depending on the specific autoclave, the materials being sterilized, and the desired level of sterilization. Standard conditions typically include temperatures around 121°C (250°F) and pressures of approximately 15 psi.
